Loved by Him:

With Valentine’s Day only days away, we are immersed in advertisements of flowers, cards, candies, romantic movies, and on and on.  What many fail to see is that this holiday, although  quite romantic, may in fact lead to loneliness, and loneliness isn’t only reserved for women.

There are many singles that would much rather skip the day then to go through the battle in their mind that assaults them with thoughts like, “you’re still single, you aren’t pretty, you are too thin, you are too fat, you are not good enough, etc…”. Sadly, it’s not just singles that have the battle, even some married couples wish they could avoid the holiday. They know that the holiday can bring the game of comparison or competition, what hubby can out do himself, or what wife will sing praises about her man?? Oh the ache it can leave in the heart of many.

But there is hope for this, and His name is Christ. In Christ Jesus we find the Only One that is relentless in His pursuit for us, in Christ we find that we have been made whole, in Christ we are able to live a life of abundance, in Christ we are enough, and in Christ and by Christ- we are loved.

So whatever you may have planned for Valentine’s Day, remember there is a God, The God who has immense love for you, for me that He willingly laid His life down.
